A First Look at the First 'Dragon Ball' Series in 18 Years

When the first Dragon Ball series in 18 years was first announced, there was nothing except for a title image to serve as a visual accompaniment to the breaking of the news. However, a TV spot that recently appeared on Japanese television gives us a brief glimpse of the art style and characters to be involved in the new Dragon Ball Super series. It will be the fifth television series to spring off of Akira Toriyama’s original manga series, written by Toriyama himself and taking place a couple of years after Goku defeats Majin Buu. Take a look at the footage above, and anticipate Dragon Ball Super to run on Fuji TV in Japan this July.
