Johnston Architects just completed a stunning holiday home in Ronald, Washington. Designed for a young family, the home was conceived as “a place to recharge between milestones in life,” with a space that can sleep up to 18 people. The home serves as a setting where the couple can balance work and play, inviting and hosting clients from their global consulting firm. Inspired by bringing people together, the entire space is conducive to contact, with elements such as a dining table that also serves as a meeting table. It also takes into importance sustainability, using low tech elements such as solar hot water collectors and high tech home monitoring systems to be able to control light and temperature remotely.
