A First Look at the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept

BMW teases its latest Hommage Concept car. Paying homage to the original 1972 BMW E9 3.0CSL, which was nicknamed the “Batmobile,” the latest concept car from the German automobile maker is “a nod to the engineering achievement exemplified by the BMW 3.0 CSL in its lightweight design and performance” as stated in BMW’s latest press release. The aggressive and sharp exterior body of the Hommage concept highlights its striking air deflectors, powerful wheel arches, and prominent roof and rear spoilers. An extensive carbon fiber construction decorates the lower section, accentuating the model’s systematic lightweight design. Combining lightweight design, sportiness and elegance, BMW is set to officially unveil the BMW Hommage concept car at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy on May 22.
