A Closer Look at the Afew x ASICS GEL-Lyte III "Koi"

After viewing the sneaker as a part of a larger collaborative release between Germany-based Afew and ASICS, here we take a closer gander at the forthcoming GEL-Lyte III “Koi” from both parties. This version of the GLIII is delivered as a part of ASICS’ ongoing celebration of the silhouette’s 25th anniversary. For the “Koi,” the design teams fit the shoe with a specially-designed “Koi Camo” outsole, a self-referential nod to the previous 1-of-1 “Koi” release back in 2012. Throughout the upper, the sneaker is built with unfinished beige suede at the base later, which is sandwiched with smooth red suede at the toe box and heel. Afew branding is meticulously stitched on the heel panel and insole, which features neat prints of the sneaker’s own creation process.
