The acclaimed Brooklyn-based quintet The National have unveiled a previously-unreleased number entitled “Sunshine On My Back.” The song was reportedly created during the recording sessions for the band’s last studio album, 2013’s Trouble Will Find Me. It features backing vocals from Sharon Van Etten, who has collaborated with the band in the past. “Sunshine On My Back” is available as a free download for those who purchase or rent the film Mistaken For Strangers – a documentary revolving around the band — through the digital distribution company VHX.
