At a time where some skateboarding could easily be confused with a gym routine, it’s good to have teams like Girl and Chocolate represent the concrete. The historic SoCal brands packed their vans and ventured up towards San Francisco, here returning with footage from the “Going Dumb Up the 101” mini-tour. Those privy to the industry goings-on will draw a special stoke from Elijah Berle’s current form, which looks improved under Greg Hunt’s command of the forthcoming Vans video. Elsewhere, Chocolate recruited unsigned Los Angeles native Johnny Jones for the trip, perhaps looking to fill a dark void on the team not seen since Hot Chocolate.
