Since last summer, TDE President Punch has slowly but surely rolled out a stream of songs. Maybe it’s the fact that he has a few more hours of time to himself and can rest a little easier now thanks to TDE’s current spot at the top, maybe he’s always had a passion for rapping, or, for all we know, he could just be bored and want to let off some steam, but, regardless of his reasoning for putting out music of his own, Punch has definitely showcased some serious skill as a rapper. He’s even had a placement alongside Bad Lucc, Problem and Ab-Soul on “Top Of The Diamond.” With Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly continuing to dominate headlines and on its way to becoming one of the most discussed albums of 2015, Punch is continuing to drop new music of his own with “Fear,” his first solo release of 2015. It’s labeled a rough draft, but it still manages to sound better than most struggle rappers’ fully-formed efforts. Judging by all the verses Punch has spit in the past year, the TDE honcho always has some gems to drop. You can listen to “Fear” above.
