Trine Lindegaard 2015 Fall/Winter Lookbook
Fashion has a tendency to think itself worldly, universal even, but often ignores its own

Fashion has a tendency to think itself worldly, universal even, but often ignores its own exclusivity. In a twist of focus, here Danish contemporary label Trine Lindegaard creates a new collection of pieces directly inspired by less-fortunate international citizens. The Fall/Winter 2015 collection from the brand takes illustrations from residents at the Avnstrup Asylum Center in Denmark, one of the most renowned institutions of refuge for international victims of oppression. The pieces, amongst them fine crewneck sweaters, well-structured truckers and tastefully oversized joggers, each immortalize the residents’ stories in their very threads. Initiatives like this are more than a charity case though, and instead hope to concern fashion with the human condition – ultimately unifying us.
