Luxury automaker Rolls-Royce has confirmed that it plans to enter the SUV market by producing a “high-bodied” vehicle designed for “any terrain,” and today it unveiled the first engineering mule from the project, dubbed Project Cullinan. The mule reveals very little about what the SUV will look like, but the fact that development is this far along is enough to get car buffs excited around the world. Company engineers are said to be focusing a lot of their efforts on road performance, and are taking utmost care in designing a vehicle that meets “customers’ highly mobile, contemporary lifestyle expectations.” Considering Rolls-Royce vehicles start at around $285,000, we can expect Project Cullinan’s final product to be impressive, to say the least.
