Celebrity Deathmatch is set to return to the airwaves some eight years after it last appeared on MTV2. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the show — which ran for 75 episodes on MTV from 1998 to 2002 before being revived for a short-lived run on MTV2 from 2006-2007 — is set to be resurrected by the network with Wasteland Entertainment and original Deathmatch creator Eric Fogel behind the new series. Look for your favorite celebrities to fight to their gruesome deaths in all their claymation glory — complete with a new social media-centric format — sometime in the near future.
