Kelela - A Message

American singer-songwriter Kelela has been around since the start of the decade but, after releasing her 2013 album Cut 4 Me, her identity started to become noticed among critics and industry insiders alike. Now, with her forthcoming EP Hallucinogen looming closer to release, the talented songstress has released an emotive video to accompany her impressive vocal performance on the track “A Message.” Drawing a sound that resembles of the late ’90s R&B, the video shows Kelela chopping off her waist length dreads amidst graceful dance moves and moody lighting that transform midway into an anime scenario.
