In the past, Virgil Abloh has performed under the DJ alias Flat White. Now, he’s linking up with Brodinski and Bromance affiliate Guillaume Berg for a collaborative mix-project as Paris, IL. Featuring a mix of mangled, distorted techno sounds, hip-hop and other underground club sounds, the freelease aims to “bring club culture to the forefront.” In a statement, the pair say that “through song selection and art direction the concept was born.” Those familiar with the sounds of Bromance Records and other European subculture movements that frequent the club circuits where this style of electronic music is accepted should feel at home here.
