Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller is facing some legal dilemmas this week as it turns out ’70s funk and soul band Aquarian Dream is suing the MC over the use of their song on his Faces mixtape, as reported by TMZ. The band is reportedly seeking $150,000 in damages for the inappropriate use of their song “Yesterday (Was So Nice Today)” for Miller’s track “Therapy.” Apparently, Mac’s rep attempted to reach out to the group seeking approval for clearance of the track but, after no response, they went ahead anyway. Additionally, Mac’s mixtape was a free project, so it is hard to say what could be gained by taking legal action. Check out the tracks below, and stay tuned as this develops.
