Following the announcement of his upcoming debut album In Colour, Jamie xx has released the visual for one of its most recently revealed tracks — “Loud Places.” Featuring the usual undertone of The xx’s front-woman Romy Madley-Croft, the track is euphoric and appropriates the melancholy style we have come to expect from the duo following earlier projects.

The video transitions from the single, rectangular artwork associated with Jamie xx’s recent releases — such as “Girl” and “Alba” — into a reel of darkened scenes as the duo skates through the streets of London. The ideas drawn from the lyrical content of the song have been conveyed in this visual composition through a number of cut scenes that emulate a certain togetherness in and out of the “Loud Places.”

Enjoy “Loud Places” above and head over to HYPETRAK for more from Jamie xx. In Colour is due out June 1 on Young Turks.
