Brazilian label/sneaker shop/art gallery Homegrown has teamed up with PUMA on PUMA’s iconic Trinomic XT2 Plus. Inspired by Rio de Janeiro and cariocas, the nickname to describe the natives of the city, the collaboration pays homage to the labels’ desires to bring together social tribes in a democratic and inclusive, urban space. Apart from the Trinomic XT2 Plus, a green colorway of the iconic Trinomic Serve is also available.
The shoes are made to be worn, consisting of high quality materials and premium finishing. The silhouettes’ revolutionary Trinomic technology is apparent in the hexagonal cells. The beehive-like cells contract and expand, offering unparalleled cushioning, flexibility and stability.
The Trinomic XT2 Plus silhouette is remade with a dominantly grey colorway. The model features a multi-grey army print on the base of the suede and mesh mixed-material upper, a light grey toe box, and varying grey hues throughout the toe box, outsole, laces and signature Formstripe. Bright red accents such as the lace eyelet, inner lining, tongue tab and heel tab contrast against the cool grey tones, as well as the white midsole. Both brands’ names are added together on the tongue tab and heel tab. You can purchase the Homegrown x PUMA Trinomic XT2 Plus “Steal Gray/Rosso” at Sneaker Politics for $115 USD; for more information, check out the Sneakers BR website here.
