In 1880, J.E. Hamilton started the Hamilton Manufacturing Company, responsible form much of the wood used in America’s papers and broadsides from 1880 until the mid-20th century. Based in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, the company has now altered its services, acting as The Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum. To celebrate this storied company, Field Notes has partnered with French Paper to release four ”Two Rivers” notebooks, the Lemon Drop, Sno Cone, Packing Brown Wrap, and True White, incorporating Hamilton’s collection of vintage type and ornaments in its design. Two dollars from every sale of its three-pack will be donated to the the historic wood and print museum, with an optional dollar added at checkout.
