There’s little doubt that selfie sticks have become a popular tool to document the life of the current generation. Festival-goers, however, will have to look for alternative ways to capture their experiences from now on. As Brooklyn Vegan points out, Coachella and Lollapalooza have decided to explicitly ban selfie sticks from their festivals this year and have listed them as “prohibited items.” The announcement comes 12 days till the first Coachella weekend kicks off in Indio, California on April 10. Besides this “last minute” announcement, Coachella refers to the monopod as “Selfie sticks / Narsisstics [sic].” What are your thoughts on this?
