BlackBerry isn’t giving up on the smartphone market, and has just released information about its latest offering at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The BlackBerry Leap will be powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor, and run BlackBerry 10 OS on a 5-inch, 720 x 1280 pixel touchscreen. It’s a bit of a surprising move by the company, since just last year its chief executive said they would be focusing on keyboard devices. Regardless, the Leap may gain some fans due to its attractive price point of $275 USD (unlocked). It’s due to hit stores in April, and those who are interested are welcome to preregister now on BlackBerry’s website.
