ASICS has relaunched its ASICS Tiger line, aiming to target the ever-popular “sport-lifestyle” market. The line falls somewhere in between ASICS’ performance sports line and its casual Onitsuka Tiger brand. A key item in the TIGER brand is ASICS’ much-loved GEL-Lyte III silhouette, which debuted in the 1990s, featuring a thick sole and split tongue. With the relaunch event, guests were able to check out some upcoming colorways for the classic silhouette, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the shoe. We take you to Singapore for the launch party of ASICS Tiger in Southeast Asia, with an inside look the event. The installation included a homey setup to emulate a “sneakerhead’s” living room, with an entire space being filled with collaborative pieces on display, such as Ronnie Feig’s collaboration, along with shelves and a glass enclosure of varying styles and silhouettes.
