As part of the Air Max Day festivities, Nike has released the all-new Air Max Zero which was surprisingly the very first silhouette that legendary designer Tinker Hatfield had put on paper. At the time of its design, it was deemed too futuristic and way ahead of its time. Fast forward 30 years later and fans of the Air Max can finally get their hands on a pair. Inspired by the unique inside-out design of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Nike Air Max Zero blends a retro aesthetic with modern materials and construction methods to create a shoe bringing the concept of visible air to life. The sneaker features a fused monofilament yarn mesh upper with white synthetic overlays that reduces bulk without sacrificing support, sitting atop of the Phylon constructed Air Max 1 Ultra outsole. Have a look through the photo set above to get a closer look and purchase a pair from select Nike retailers and Nike.com.
