Those who have seen Katy Perry’s Super Bowl XLIX performance will know that she had brought out Missy Elliott — previously teased as an “old-school” female singer — during “Get Ur Freak On.” While many fans were very pleased with Missy’s surprise appearance — some even claiming that she had stolen the show’s spotlight — it has been brought to our attention that not everybody is aware of who Misdemeanor is. Certain users of social media have posted and tweeted about their ignorance of Missy, even erroneously confusing her for someone who is an up-and-comer that Katy is helping out.
