Big Sean has effectively taken over the last 24 hours of rap, which may be a preview of what he has to offer in the future as the new year unravels. During the time span, the G.O.O.D Music MC has dropped a freestyle titled “Me, Myself & I” he claims to have recorded Sunday night. Today, he ushered in his third studio album, Dark Sky Paradise. Accompanying the album release are new visuals of the intro track ”Dark Sky (Skyscraper).” The video presents Sean in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan, going up a shaft in an abandoned warehouse, before reaching the surface and looking out at the city’s skyscrapers. Focus predominantly lies on abstract objects, shadows bolstered by unsteady lighting, before transitioning to a room, edited to appear to be cloaked in red, where Sean energetically raps his meaningful lyrics.
