As part of 3.1 Phillip Lim‘s sporty, yet refined offering for Spring/Summer 2015, the designer recently released a range of footwear that draws upon this season’s athletic inspirations. Most notable among them is the PL31 sneaker — a clean silhouette that’s available in either high or low-top options, and features the use of sumptuous calf leather uppers, elastic lace closures and contrasting rubber outsoles. In a slew of tonal or patterned color schemes — including white, black and grey — each pair is a luxe take on minimal sneaker classics like the Nike Air Force 1, as well as a reflection of the sophisticated sportswear aesthetic Lim has been honing in recent years.
