With its winter “Internationale” 2015 collection lookbook now behind us, it’s time for another stunning gathering of items from the new legends of streetwear, Palace Skateboards. Working with ArkAir, a UK brand specializing in gear for the Armed and Special Forces, the two combine their efforts to create a masterpiece collection of urban-military aesthetics. Camouflaged outerwear dominates the releases alongside a more subdued black alternative, all with vibrant “Palace” embroidered patchwork. Explaining the inspiration behind the collaboration, Palace founder Lev Tanju said to i-D:
I guess camo pants have always been a big part of skating, and all my favourites skated in them at some point. Camouflage and surplus kinda gear in general basically. We were just in the middle of looking into making stuff ourselves and then we meet the ArkAir guys. We love producing stuff in the UK where we can, and then we saw the quality and functionality of the fabric. It just seemed silly for us to try and mimic that kinda stuff when we where lucky enough to get the connection with the real deal.
Choose from a full suit getup, or go sleeveless with the vest top when the heat rises. The Palace Skateboards x ArkAir Collection releases on December 9 exclusively at Palace Shop London and palaceskateboards.com.
