The New Mercedes-Benz 2017 SLC Replaces SLK Variants
Twin turbo V6 replaces the V8s.
Mercedes-Benz introduces the new 2017 SLC 300 and Mercedes-AMG SLC43 to replace the previous SLK models with the intention of aligning the SLC cars closer to Mercedes-Benz’s C-Class lineup. Luckily, the cars feature some of the most-loved aspects of the SLKs — including a folding hardtop, optional sport suspension and exhaust among more. The basic SLC300 will boast a 2.0-liter inline-four, turbocharged to 241 horsepower at 5,500 rpm, with 273 lb-ft of torque available as low as 1,300 rpm — specifications that are identical to the previous SLK250. The AMG SLC43 outfits a twin turbo V6 with 54 hp, 14 lb-ft of torque, and 0.1 second to 60 miles per hour. Take a look at its sleek exterior and let us know what you think about it in the comments below.
