In spite of gaining overseas recognition with their Concepts collaboration earlier in the year, Karhu has been a household name in its native Finland for almost a century. With its strong roots in track and field as well as cross country running, the company has recently made an effort to expand into the realm of casual sneakers, most notably with its Aria silhouette. The retro runner was originally released 20 years ago as a performance trainer, but following the success of its vibrant Concepts drop, Karhu has decided to release two new autumn-ready colorways of it in the “Musta & Sininen” (black & blue in Finnish) pack. Boasting a premium pig skin suede upper with touches of mesh throughout, the runner features additional 3M details along the sidepanel, toe box and lacing provide additional visibility during the night. Both pairs are available for purchase at Karhu’s webstore, as well as the brand’s concept space in Helsinki.
