Chari & Co NYC Gets Transformed by Artist Meguru Yamaguchi
The Lower East Side bike shop gets a colorful makeover.

Bike-centric brand Chari & Co NYC has enlisted the help of artist Meguru Yamaguchi to give its Lower East Side store a makeover. The Tokyo-born artist uses what he calls a “cut-and-paste” technique to fuse painting, collage acrylics and spray paint, taking cues from both historical and graffiti art. The result is an explosion of bright colors with spontaneous, yet calculated, large brushstrokes draping the walls and ceilings. The store also features an art installation from Yamaguchi which can be viewed in the display window. If you’re in the area, be sure to swing by and take a look.
