Uber Launches UberRUSH On-Demand Delivery Service
“Meet your on-demand delivery fleet.”
In countless cities across the globe, you can press a button on your smartphone and get a ride in minutes. Now, Uber is offering that same convenience to business owners with the introduction of UberRUSH. Partnering with local businesses, UberRUSH will allow customers to use Uber’s technology to get just about anything in 20 minutes flat. Why is Uber looking to improve delivery? Says the company:
Think about all the times you hop in the car to pick up groceries, house supplies, or Sunday night takeout. These little runs seem harmless but they add up. In fact, 20% of all trips in the U.S. are just to move things from A to B — and we’re wasting thousands of hours and gallons taking them.
If every local business delivered, we’d all save time and energy. But most simply can’t. Day-to-day operations are already complicated and delivery can cause all sorts of logistical headaches. There has never been a simple local delivery solution. Until now.
Thanks to UberRUSH, “every business in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco has the power to get customers what they want, when they want it.” For more on the endeavor, head on over to rush.uber.com.
