Vans’ Vault line has come together with outdoor specialists The North Face for a functional range of footwear and apparel ideal for the colder months. Utilizing Vans’ iconic footwear designs and The North Face’s technical expertise, this seven-piece collection is comprised by a trio of collaborative colorways of the timeless Sk8-Hi MTE LX and Desert Chukka MTE LX silhouettes, and a limited edition rendering of the staple Nuptse jacket. The footwear designs have been reconstructed with various functional elements including gusseted tongues, reversed waffle lug outsoles, heat retention technologies, The North Face’s slip-resistant winterGRIP® and weatherized leather/suede uppers, with embossed TNF branding and Vans’ trademark heel scab marker rounding out the design. The winter garment retains all the water-repellant and insulation technologies but is emblazoned with a checkerboard pattern that the skate company has become synonymous with over the years.
