A Behind the Scenes Look at the Making of London's Sonos Studio
An immersive look at the process of creating London’s new Shoreditch studio..
Following in the footsteps of Los Angeles’ Sonos Studios, the recently opened London locale provides an immersive setting that melds music, art and technology. Studio head Tom Panton explains that London was a natural fit for the new space due to its illustrious influence on music. Collaborating with London-based design consultancy Brinkworth, the team remodeled a former print works warehouse by preserving the architectural integrity and revamping the interior to provide a state-of-the-art listening experience. In addition, visual references to music history are provided throughout the building, including Abbey Road’s blue color palette and the infamous bathroom tiling at American-based Stax Records. Enjoy the immersive construction time lapse above, as well as a selection of interviews from the staff involved in its design process.
