A Portishead cover of ABBA is on the horizon. Portishead will share their spin on ABBA for a forthcoming film adaptation of the 1975 J.G. Ballard novel High-Rise, which will receive most of its score from acclaimed composer Clint Mansell. The ABBA song of Portishead’s choosing is “SOS,” a 1975 single off their popular self-titled project. As Crack reports, the final cut of the film will feature both the Clint Mansell and Portishead version of the song. The movie will air in London this weekend, so stay tuned for more information regarding the release of the cover.
