nonnative 2016 Spring/Summer "GROUND CONTROL" Lookbook
Inspired by a trip to Texas.
nonnative has unveiled a spring/summer collection inspired by a trip to Texas. With cities like Dallas, Austin, Fort Worth and Houston included in the visit, the set expectedly channels strong western aesthetics. The set features an extended denim selection that draws design cues from “western shirt” detailing, such as arched yoke seams and pearl dot snap buttons that are also visible in many of the outerwear and shirting pieces. Continuing its use of technical fabrics of previous seasons, “GROUND CONTROL” utilizes materials such as Gore-Tex to construct garments atypical to outerwear. Standout accessories in the set include an ultra light Cordura nylon ripstop bag, collaborative footwear with Officine Creative and Island Slipper, and handcrafted accessories from Japanese silversmiths END.
