In a speech to the assembled owners of National Basketball Association teams, Nike CEO Mark Parker has outlined the future of technology within the sport. Referencing the self-lacing sneakers made famous by Back To The Future, plans to use sensors and computing power to control body temperature and get the perfect fit and the company’s plans to boost annual sales to upwards of $50 million USD, Parker gave a speech that Washington Wizards owner Ted Leonsis claimed showed his “emotional connection and their love of basketball.” For more numbers and tech talk from Parker head to Bloomberg.
