Los Angeles barber JayR went from cutting his homies’ hair in a garage to the personal barber of NBA superstars.
Style and basketball have gone hand-and-hand for decades, from Clyde Frazier’s mink coats to Allen Iverson’s cornrows and tattoos. How you present yourself, both on and off the court is very much an extension of your game. Take Tim Duncan and Russell Westbrook for example. Appearance is important to hoopers, which is why Los Angeles barber JayR takes his job very seriously.
Having started out cutting hair for his friends in a garage, the Legends on Fairfax barber now has a client list that includes Clippers center and head coach DeAndre Jordan and Doc Rivers, as well as the most exciting player in the league and reigning champion, Stephen Curry.
