BK The Artist Sheds Insight Into His Pillow Talk Series of Paintings

The Baltimore native explains why he takes a very relaxed route towards his creations.

Following up on the Smile Design Gallery artists who graciously donated their work towards improving children’s smiles, we caught up with another of the talented painters: Brian Kirhagis. Often known as “BK the Artist” and hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, Brian focused all of his attention towards his art after graduating from B.F.A. in 2005 with a degree in Graphic Design and acquiring a fear of a mundane 9-5 grind. Now, this artwork sells by the numbers and has reached clients including Infiniti Motors, MTV, John Legend and many more. For the charity, BK has given a small drawing from his Pillow Talk series of paintings, of which depicts the intimate moments between two lovers in bed. BK further explains the carefree nature when it comes to anatomical correctness, the final result of the creation, his connection to his work and more. The Smile Design Gallery showcases the raw aptitude of many national artists, so be sure to check out the official website to learn more about the heartwarming cause and discover what the charity is all about.
