Longines Heritage Military COSD
A 1940s reissue.
Originally issued to British paratroopers back in the 1940s for use by the Combined Operations Command, Longines’ Heritage Military COSD is making a return for 2015. Housed in a 40mm steel case, the design features Longines’ proprietary caliber L619.2 movement and maintains a timeless military-inspired look thanks to its olive NATO strap and clean dial. Each opaline dial features a chapter-ring of large Arabic numerals while the 24-hour scale comes in red with blue hands. The matte black dial, on the other hand, sports rhodium-plated hands for an added touch.
Finished with Super-LumiNova coating and retro arrow branding — which signified that the piece was property of the British government — the Heritage Military COSD will soon be available at select Longines dealers.
