Is Jurassic World Too Similar to Jurassic Park?
Same, same but different.
LA-based editor and director Pablo Fernández Eyre (aka ‘WHO IS PABLO‘ on Vimeo) has selected scenes from the box office smash Jurassic World and juxtaposed them against scenes from the original trilogy. The short video not only shows similarities between the movies, but also manages to tie together references for those who may have seen the most recent iteration without having seen Jurassic Park 1-3. The comparison manages to explain inside jokes, but at other times it seems like scenes were copied frame by frame in an attempt to recreate the original glory, only with a fresh-faced cast. In any case, Jurassic World was a welcome addition to the franchise and with the announcement of the sequel set for a 2018 release, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for Owen and his army of raptors, even though we may have already seen it in the original trilogy.
