For this edition of #hypebae, we caught up with singer-songwriter Ayden. Having already been featured in SIROJ’s dance track, “Slowly,” earlier this year, Ayden is now currently working on her solo debut album. Shot by Matt Abad, we explore the floral markets and streets of Los Angeles with the artist. Favorite items you like to wear from a dude’s closet?
A big warm sweater.
Where do you go to for inspiration when you get writer’s block?
When I was writing in LA, I went hiking for inspiration. But my bedroom gives me the most inspiration. When I’m all by myself. Just sitting in my bedroom, with no one and nothing around me.
Favorite place to unwind after a day at a studio?
My favorite place to unwind after a studio session is a place where I can hang with my friends. I have a lot friends who aren’t in the music. So then I can just talk about other things and just laugh and having fun.
What should a guy wear on his first date?
Just casual. Not too classy. I love it when a guy wears sneakers.
