In response to the smartwatch movement, more and more traditional watch companies are pushing to return the spotlight on minimalist design and the craftsmanship surrounding their machinery. One such brand, the Philadelphia-based Cadence Watch Company, has been steadily offering up wonderfully refined, “back-to-the-basics” styles for the past few years now. Details include an 18k gold-plated mesh wrist strap, the precision of a Japanese Miyota 2035 movement, and a 42mm casing with a stainless steel back. Priced enticingly low at $40 USD, the Hamilton watch from Cadence can be pre-ordered here.
