Snarkitecture Creates Winter Wonderland Inside NYC's Dream Hotel

Dream Hotel in Meatpacking Distinct, New York goes the extra mile to provide something special for its customers. For the winter season it’s tapped Brooklyn-based design duo Snarkitecture – consisting of Alex Mustonen and Daniel Arsham to redesign its rear lobby under the Winter Wonderland theme. The lobby is floored with white flocking powder and features various glass atrium spanning the rear. Within the double mirror display cases are magical, light-filled installations filled with live Fraser firs, miniature homes and snow-caped mountains. Snarkitecture has described the project as “reinterpreting familiar spaces into spectacular, unexpected moments of wonder and interaction.” Providing a surreal experience away from the hustle and bustle of its Chelsea neighborhood, the striking design is definitely worth a visit if you’re in New York.
