See What Kobe Bryant Had to Say About His Season-Ending Injury

Kobe Bryant has addressed the public for the first time since reports confirmed the Lakers star’s 2014-2015 basketball season will be ending prematurely after last week’s sudden injury. In typical Kobe wit, the future Hall of Famer attributed tearing the rotator cuff in his right shoulder to his recent passing spree, with a tweet that reads, “This is what happens when I pass too much! #ShoulderShock.” Kobe’s logic is not flawed considering he notched a career high 17 assists last week against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Currently standing fifth all time, just four minutes behind Wilt Chamberlain for the most minutes played in NBA history, Lakers and NBA fans alike have their eyes set on next season, which will presumably be Kobe’s “farewell tour.” In the meantime, Nike is still pushing its Nike KobeX campaign, set to be unveiled next Saturday, January 31.
