We stopped by Sweet Chick over the summer to check in with founder John Seymour as he opened a new location over the summer. The original location of the chicken and waffles craft house though is a hotspot in the heart of Williamsburg, in Northern Brooklyn. Brooklyn also happens to be the home borough of prodigious rapper Joey Bada$$, who has just followed up his acclaimed 1999 and Summer Knights mixtapes with his debut studio effort, B4.DA.$$. While perusing the rap section at Rough Trade in Brooklyn, the two concocted a quintessential Brooklyn dish with curry chicken and waffles – a fitting combination of Joey’s favorite home cooking and Seymour’s own specialty. With Joey’s mom giving the final say on the inspired dish, enjoy the episode by First We Feast above.
