Fresh off yesterday’s Instagram teaser, Concepts has unveiled its latest collab with ASICS. Making use of the fan-favorite GEL-Lyte V as a canvas, the design adopts a premium upper of off-white suede along with tonal white 3M applications, custom insoles, special packaging, and even a custom shoe lace vial — all of which may or may not amount to an 8-ball-inspired design that alludes to the infamous Beantown-born mobster and convicted drug-smuggler George Jung, aka “Boston George.”
Look for Concepts’ nod to the Boston mob to be available this Friday, January 30 at 6 p.m. EST at both Concepts Boston and the newly-opened Concepts New York before hitting cncpts.com that same night at 7 p.m. EST. Those who hit up Concepts NY for the release will also be able to check out a special interactive build out, which was previewed via the aforementioned Instagram teaser.
