ASICS Tiger Crane & Turtle

ASICS’ newly christened sport luxury line, ASICS Tiger, is coming hot out of the gates with a pair of releases dubbed “Crane & Turtle.” Inspired by an old Japanese proverb which identifies the two animals as symbols of long-life – “Crane lives for 1,000 years; Turtle lives for 10,000 years” – ASICS Tiger provides a fittingly timeless style to the “Crane & Turtle” sneakers as well. Starting with the classic Gel Lyte III silhouette, both models feature suede uppers, custom sock liners made with crane feathers, and a turtle shell pattern printed on the insoles. The Crane version differentiates itself with a bright red, white and grey color palette that evoke images of the bird’s brilliant feathers, while the Turtle dons a softer tan, green and yellow combination which speaks to the animal’s more understated shell.
