Ya Boy Rich Rocka - I Got That Fire

Ya Boy Rich Rocka is back on his rap grind with a new single entitled “I Got That Fire.” The Bay Area rapper — formerly known as Ya Boy — has been trying to reclaim the rise earned years ago when his bars on “We Run La” dominated radiowaves, Akon had his back, and his more underground mixtape work started to building a sizeable street buzz. “I Got That Fire” sees the rapper seemingly aiming for the same sort of climb-to-the-top, with its radio and club-ready sound reminiscent of old-school, Mannie Fresh-guided New Orleans rap and new-school, Mustard-helmed ratchetdom. Time will tell if Ya Boy Rich Rocka can build up more momentum, but judging by his flow showcased here the rapper is ready to start putting out some quality mixtape work again.  This new cut is set for inclusion on the Bay Area emcee’s upcoming DJ Drama-hosted mixtape, Allegiance, which is only a few days away from its September 7 release date.
