Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Star in Biopic as Edward Snowden

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is set to star in a biopic depicting the story of Edward Snowden, a whistleblower wanted for leaking several classified National Security Agency (NSA) and CIA documents in 2013. Based on journalist Luke Harding’s The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man, the film will be written and directed by American film director Oliver Stone as filming is scheduled for early 2015. Although formal negotiations have yet to proceed, reports state that the actor has already accepted Stone’s offer. Look for Joseph Gordon-Levitt to hit the screens as Edward Snowden in the near future.
