Converse unveils its latest in ingenuity: the Converse All Star Chuck ‘70 “Polartec,” a sneaker that utilizes the weatherization and properties of Polartec to create a weather-resistant solution under the classic style of the Chuck Taylor. The revolutionary material is used for the first time as a sneaker and works due to its waterproof Polartec Power Shield Pro membrane infused into the sneaker’s canvas-rubber construction. Delving into the technicalities, the Power Shield Pro combines air permeability with durable hydrostatic resistance which ultimately means water/snow resistance and breathability. The shoes are currently offered in two styles in their respected colorways. The high top sees a bright Clematis Blue upper while Gargoyle Gray ox makes up the low top with both receiving a reverse in color for its tongues. Both also sport a pair of bright red eyelets below a unique turquoise D-ring eyelet for standout effect. The Converse All Star Chuck ‘70 “Polartec” will be available for $110 USD at Converse San Francisco and Soho, as well as Canada’s Livestock.
