Childish Gambino Performs with Ariana Grande & Opens Up on His Upcoming 'STN MTN / KAUAI' Mixtape

As Ariana Grande prefaced a star-studded weekend roster at this year’s iHeartRadio Festival last Friday, fans were treated to an unexpected guest appearance from Childish Gambino on Grande’s “Break Your Heart Right Back.”

Gambino’s stealth appearance saved Ms. Grande from what would’ve been a relatively silent 30 seconds, rewarding himself afterwards with a cheeky gander quick double-take to make sure the young songstress had her outfit in check.

Prior to the performance Gambino had a quick chat with Billboard to shed some light on the forthcoming STN MTN / KAUAI mixtape, dropping later this year through DJ Drama’s Gangsta Grillz label.

“It’s a mixtape that goes into the EP but they’re connected. It’s the same character and the same story from Because the Internet and Camp. It’s kind of like a nice in between for the next album.”
