In an interesting interpretation of a common everyday object, Polish design studio WITAMINA D has produced the 1/2 Stool. Designers Malgorzata Knobloch and Igor Wiktorowicz assembled the stool ‘seat’ using half of a tree trunk, finishing each piece with UV-blocking oil. The top portion contrasts the mechanical, precise aesthetics of the ‘V’-shaped bottom, composed of zinc-plated and powder-coated steel.
