Nike SB Templo Mayor Skatepark Heavily Features Aztec Inspirations

Taking very obvious cues from ancient Aztec designs, Nike SB constructs its Templo Mayor skatepark in Mexico City with support from the city’s government, and is the first-ever Street League-certified skatepark outside of the U.S. The grounds feature Aztec-inspired graphics and handrail constructions, all designed by California Skateparks and is home to a specially commissioned Aztec-style mosaic sculpture by local artist Luis Ponce. Check out more of the park from the gallery above and head over to designboom for the full look.
